This 1951 Ford Country Squire Wagon was one of 29,017 produced with
just 144 known left in existence. This wagon was part the private
collection of Yesteryear's Museum fully restored in 2007 by the
former president of Classic Thunderbird Club International Amos
Minter of Dallas, TX. It is equipped with the 239ci V8 engine (just
rebuilt Dec 2023) and automatic transmission. Additionally this car
features Ford 9" rear end with 3.25 gears (for highway speeds),
aluminum manifold with Ford Holley 4 barrel carburetor, custom
performance dual exhaust with chrome tailpipe tips, all new glass
and weatherstipping, correct interior including carpet and wood
door panels and correct Coker wide white wall tires and hubcaps.
1951 was the first year for the automatic transmission and the last
year of real hardwood trim with the tailgate mounted spare tire.
This Wagon also has the period correct roof rack with matching
surfboard and period correct 'old-school' surfing stickers. This
beauty has come out a winner at every show it has been entered in.
