Vehicle Description
Run Day - Saturday May 31, 2025
This 1959 Chevrolet Impala Flat Top is highly original, with over
90% original paint, original interior, and a numbers-matching
drivetrain. The car was purchased new on 2-16-59 by Johnny Rentfrow
at Lew Chevrolet in Billings, Montana. In July of '64, the owner
moved to Arizona, and the car was retitled there. Then, in June,
1979 (with 61,267 miles on the odometer) the car was placed into
covered storage for 45 years and left untouched until April 2024!
This Impala is finished in its factory application of Cameo
Coral/Satin Beige and features the original code "809" tri-tone
gray vinyl and cloth interior. The carpeting and headliner are also
original to the vehicle. The car has a rare and highly desirable
Super Turbo Thrust 348ci V8 engine (rated @ 280hp) with a factory
tri-power setup and dual exhaust. Completing the package is a
TurboGlide automatic transmission and 3.08:1 Posi-Trac rear end.
Factory options include power steering, power brakes, power
windows, a 6-way power bench seat, deluxe heater and defroster,
panoramic vista rear window, E-Z-Eye glass all around, deluxe
push-button AM radio with rear speaker, GM front and rear floor
mats, and optional trim. The car was built with the "Level Air"
suspension system, but it has been removed and replaced with a
traditional suspension. Included in the sale are several original
registrations, copy of '64 AZ. title, original owner's manual,
protection policy and brochure for the level right suspension,
along with service receipts, etc.
