In 1966 Dorothea Evans of Denver, CO. ordered a new automobile from
Denver Buick of Denver CO. Not just any car, but, a fully loaded
Buick Skylark GS Convertible in Code FF Blue Mist with a light blue
interior and a black convertible top. Options Dorothea ordered for
her new Buick included the 401ci 340HP V-8 along with air
conditioning, power steering, power brakes, 2 speed automatic
transmission with floor shift and console, power windows and remote
side mirror. For 36 years Dorothea Evans lovingly drove and
maintained her Buick, driving an average of just 2500 miles per
year. In 1985, due to her age, Dorothea sold her Skylark GS to a
Buick collector in NE. In the mid 1990's the rust free Buick
Skylark GS was given a professional re-spray in its original color
FF Blue Mist. In 2009 with just 98,801 miles, this outstanding
automobile was sold to a prominent Buick collection in Indiana.
Over the past 16 years this remarkable Buick has been maintained,
driven sparingly, (1700 miles) and been shown/judged at prestigious
events like The Celebration of Automobiles. Indianapolis Motor
Speedway May, 2014 and numerous Buick Club of America automotive
events. This is truly a special and unique automobile. Completely
original running gear, interior, carpet, sheet metal, chrome, and
glass. Without exaggeration, one of the finest examples of an
original 1966 Buick Skylark GS still on the road.
