Description:
This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner coupe is powered by a 440ci V8 that
has been stroked to displace 505ci and is augmented by a six-barrel
Holley carburetor setup, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Performance
World aluminum cylinder heads, a CVF Racing pulley system, MSD
ignition parts, and an aluminum radiator. The 727 TorqueFlite
three-speed automatic transmission has been updated with a
stage-two shift kit and a Hughes Performance 3,000-rpm stall
converter and is linked to a 3.23:1 limited-slip rear end.
Interior:
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl with
cloth inserts. Warner Bros.-themed floor mats have been installed,
and the Pioneer CD stereo is connected to aftermarket speakers. The
three-spoke steering wheel has a Road Runner "Beep! Beep!" center
cap and a horn ring. A 120-mph speedometer is accompanied by a
tachometer and auxiliary readouts for alternator status, fuel
level, and coolant temperature. A Bosch gauge for coolant
temperature and an Innovate Motorsports dual-lambda digital readout
are fitted beneath the ashtray.
Exterior:
The car is finished in orange, and a flat-black A12-style lift-off
hood with a scoop, "Six Pack" graphics, and four securing pins has
been adapted. Other exterior features include LED headlamps, a
driver-side mirror, pop-out rear-quarter windows, tinted rear
glass, Road Runner graphics, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome
bumpers and trim. Weld Racing Draglite 15? aluminum wheels are
mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 245/60 at the
front and 295/50 out back.
Drivetrain:
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a 727 TorqueFlite
three-speed automatic transmission that is said to have been
modified with a stage-two shift kit and a Hughes Performance
3,000-rpm stall converter and is connected to a 3.23:1 limited-slip
rear end.
