Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in the
classic and muscle car business. It's hard to believe that the
Chevrolet Corvette has been America's premier sports car for an
astounding 72 years and 8 generations. All Corvettes have their
devotees, but 1962 was a particularly pivotal year, with several
firsts and lasts that would become milestones for future
collectors. It was the last year for the iconic side coves, the
solid rear axle, and the roadster-only 'Vettes. 1962 was also the
first year for the legendary 327 V8, a standard heater, no two-tone
side coves, and no multiple carburetor options. This stunning Roman
Red 1962 Corvette is a beautiful and thrilling example from this
special year. Lift the reverse tilt hood and you'll see the 300 hp
327 V8 (SC-RB, BCN-3782870) that's sporting an Edelbrock
carburetor, an aluminum radiator, and an aluminum water pump.
Additional features include 4-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning,
a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, auxiliary hard top, full
instrumentation, front and rear stabilizer bars, a newer audio
system, and wide whitewall tires (205/75R15) wrapped around steel
wheels with correct covers. This jewel boasts good paint, chrome,
carpet, upholstery, and the chassis is simply outstanding. My
favorite detail is the cast aluminum oil pan that mimics the iconic
7-fin cast aluminum valve covers. Cooler than the other side of the
pillow! If this crimson cruiser belongs in your garage, call the
Texas Hill Country's premier source for classic cars and the team
that can make your dream a reality. Ray-Bans, sunscreen, and map of
Route 66 not included. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full
service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery,
insurance, and financing options.
