For Sale: 1982 Chevrolet Camaro in Friendswood, Texas

Vehicle Description

Selling a great example of a 1982 Camaro Indy Pace Car.

This car is in great condition inside and out. Fully functional. EVERYTHING WORKS! Car is 100% mechanically sound. And the exterior and interior? Well, see pics and judge for yourself. Car always garaged and/or under heavy duty water-proof cover at all times. All rubber seals new and in great condition with no cracks. No cracks in dash! Interior is as close to immaculate as you can get in a 40 year old car....even better. Entire car inside and out is 90+% original with only a very few small trim pieces which were replaced using only OEM factory authorized restoration parts. This is a rare 4-speed manual transmission. Almost all of the Camaro's and Z28's were automatic. The manual stick shift was very, very rare and almost impossible to find now.

If you are looking for a true high-horsepower hot rod, those who know the '82 Camaro know that this is not that "hot-rod" car. These were the 1st model year a a complete tear-down & rebuild from the ground-up of the Camaro line, with the '82 co-opting almost zero interchangeable parts with the '81. During this period of car building, horsepower and performance were sadly an afterthought. But the '82 launched the decade long-running and iconic 3rd gen Camaro's. This is truly a turn-key classic. There is nothing you would have to do on this 1. It is ready to go as-is.

A few highlights of this specific car:

-a/c works
-everything works
-56k miles on odometer
-original Chevy rims recently refurbished to factory specs, so colors really "pop"
- less than 500 miles on a new set of BF Goodrich tires
- paint and decals in excellent shape
- original engine, numbers matching
- factory leather steering wheel recently re-wrapped to factory specs, so leather is soft and not at all cracked
- car always garaged and/or covered 365 days a year
- all rubber and weather stripping recently replaced and in great condition with no cracking
- interior in great condition throughout
- entire car, inside and out is 90+% original (only a few trim pieces here and there replaced with either OEM or factory authorized restoration parts
- original orange/yellow roof siren lights which came on the Pace Car editions
- T-tops. Glass pieces are in excellent condition with zero scratches and most importantly, ZERO LEAKS! (very rare in t-tops)
- Catalytic converter removed to enhance performance. But no mechanical alterations made from original. Still have orig cat converter and can be easily reinstalled if desired.
- Box of new spare interior/exterior parts. All original parts which have been replaced have been saved and preserved.
- Almost full set of replacement decals (this alone is a $550 item)
- Original dealer invoice and owners manual.
- All service records and recpts beginning 2012 (my ownership of car).
- Both doors & hatch deck-lid close solidly. You can feel and hear when they close that there is a tight/firm feel of connecting to the weather stripping. Does not feel or sound "tin-y" or clanky, as many older cars do.

Serious inquiries only.
