This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette, triple-black convertible is showroom quality. This car is stunning inside, outside and under the hood. The photos speak for themselves. Given the quality of the car, and the all-important triple black with chrome, the car gets a lot of attention when you are cruising or when it is parked.
Features of the car:
- Powertrain is all-original and numbers matching. This includes the motor (L36 - 390 HP/460 lb-ft torque), the transmission (Turbo Hydromatic 400) and the carburetor (Rochester 4-barrel).
- Fully paid and clean title in hand.
- The car drives incredibly smooth and it is powerful (lots of torque). The Turbo 400 transmission works flawlessly and the passing gear makes for an incredible drive when downshifting! Many people make this claim about their classic, but this car actually does so.
- Power windows, power brakes and power steering.
- Brand new convertible top. Please look at photos to see the quality of the top.
- Brand new rear storage compartment. The three storage trays have brand new felt and padding within them, like when it was new.
- Period-correct stereo player that also has bluetooth functionality.
- Car was painted just two years ago and paint is in very good condition. However, as anyone with a black car can attest to, there are minor blemishes here and there which only I, as the owner of the car, can notice.
- The car is and, I believe, always has been, a California car. This is based on the air pump that was unique to 69 for California vehicles emissions and also the last two owners were in California. The car is currently in California, where I live, and there are absolutely no rusty holes anywhere, including the undercarriage.
- All vacuum systems are working great. This includes the headlights and the wipers.
- The instrument cluster goes well beyond good looks - all gauges are operational and accurate. Additionally, all electrical components are working excellently. This goes down to even the cigarette lighter, which lights up nicely. Even the fiber optics are fully operational (see the photo of the shifter plate, with the bottom portion lit up).
- The interior of the car is showroom quality. Too much money has been spent to get it to where it is, and too many parts have been ordered, but you can see new door panels, new gauges, new bezel, new shifter plate, new carpets, new door sills, new headliner, new visors and the list goes on and on.
- The engine compartment is stunning. Everything has been either refreshed, restored or had new quality components put in. All hoses are new and high-quality conduit has been used throughout. You will notice brand new braided-steel spark plug wires.
I have owned, loved and enjoyed this dream car of mine for several years now and it is time to find it a new home where it will receive the same love and attention that it has received.
All inquiries are welcome and the price is certainly negotiable. However, please no tire-kickers or time-wasters. Additionally, I am only looking to sell the car, so no trades. If you are a serious buyer, I am more than happy to provide any more information that you need in order to make a decision on purchasing the car. With respect to shipping, I can recommend a good shipping company for you to use that I have worked with in the past and I can arrange to get it on their truck. Or, if you have a shipping company that you like to use, I can work with them as well.
