Factory-fresh with a mere 74 miles on the odometer, this 1965
Shelby Cobra 427 Backdraft comes finished in deep Indigo Blue with
racing-inspired white stripes running from nose to tail. The
unmistakable Cobra profile remains exactly as Carroll intended -
low-slung, wide-tracked, and built for speed. The aggressive stance
features side-exit exhaust pipes, a competition-style roll bar, and
18-inch knock-off wheels fitted with 245/40R18 front and 295/40R18
rear 2024 Nitto 555G2 tires for maximum grip. Special paint
protection film applied to the rear quarters and roof area
maintains the flawless finish of this brand-new roadster.
The performance-focused black vinyl interior incorporates
diamond-stitched pattern work that's both functional and
good-looking. Backdraft emblems integrated into the seatbacks
verify this car's performance credentials while the matching
diamond-stitched door panels create a unified racing-inspired
theme. The instrument cluster features authentic racing details
including a reversed speedometer, while the classic wooden steering
wheel offers direct connection to the road. Power steering and tilt
wheel functionality provide excellent control without diluting the
pure driving sensation that made these roadsters famous.
Brute force comes from the freshly built 427 stroker V8 that
combines Edelbrock E Street aluminum heads, hydraulic roller Comp
cam, and an Edelbrock intake topped with a Holley single 4-barrel
carburetor. All that muscle flows through a Tremec TKX 5-speed
manual transmission to an 8.8 rear end running 3.55 gears. The
suspension features independent coilovers for superior handling
while four-wheel power disc brakes bring everything to a stop. Long
tube headers feed into glasspack mufflers and side-exit exhaust for
that signature Cobra growl that announces your arrival before
you're even seen.
