Award winning 1964 1/2 Mustang Convertible, Pagoda green with white top and white interior, D code, 289, 4-barrel, automatic, power steering, power brakes. I have collected and shown Mustangs for many years and served as a judge for eight (8) years in regional shows through the Eastern South Carolina Mustang Club. But it is time to downsize our collection, and we sure hate to let this beauty go. It is a sheer cruising pleasure, and guaranteed to catch the attention of all who see it. The family had a convertible just like this in the mid 60’s so it had been tucked away in the memory bank for years and was definitely on the “want” list for his collection. And Mustang Fever has a serendipitous element. The search for original 1965 Mustang parts uncovered this true barn find. Barn conditions did not hide the potential of this beauty. BUT it was not for sale at the time. Ten years later the circumstances and price were right and it became a prized part of our collection. A year’s elbow grease brought this beauty to cruising pleasure. Has won the MCA - First Place - Occasionally Driven/Best in Class Production Modern-American 1960-1973 in the Regional through Eastern South Carolina Mustang Club based in Florence, South Carolina. Odometer reading is since restoration. (Official color from factory says Pagoda Green, but it looks blue.)
