Intro
This is a three owner 1987 BMW 325is in Bronzit Beige Metallic with Beige interior and a sunroof. It has the 2.5-liter inline-6 engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and shows 244,956 miles. The 325is featured a sports package with features like a limited-slip differential, stiffer suspension, and unique wheels. This car was originally purchased by the current owner in 1997 from Athens BMW in Athens, Georgia. Aside from a brief period of ownership by another party from 2000 to 2001 the vehicle has remained in the family of the current owner. The car has been titled in Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. It has never been exposed to winter salt. Exterior
The exterior is painted in Bronzit Beige Metallic with factory sunroof, quad headlights, pop out rear windows, power antenna, front spoiler with fog lights and decklid spoiler. There are minor blemishes to vehicle’s finish however the clear coat has preserved its shine since its 1998 re-spray. The wheels are from the German aftermarket wheel manufacturer Ronal. They are 15x7.5” LS (model number 57540037) basketweave model in silver with a machined face wrapped in Kumho Ecsta with date code of 0615. The suspension was upgraded with H&R springs.
Interior
The sport front seats were re-upholstered in 2015 in beige leatherette and the rear seats are original leather. It has an onboard computer, cruise control, and air conditioning. The seller installed a JVC Bluetooth head unit. All gauges, including trip computer work. The instrument cluster was shipped to a company in Texas in 2015 for a complete overhaul and reconditioning. All the gauges work, and the air conditioning has not worked for years
Mechanicals
The 2.5-liter M20B25 inline-six was factory rated at 168 horsepower and 164 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. In 2020, substantial work was performed to get the car leak tight… resealed oil filter housing, resealed oil pan with oil change, power steering lines, power steering pump. A new power steering rack was installed in 2001. To sellers’ knowledge, the rear diff is the only seal in need of replacement. Odometer reading at the time was 244,089.
