For Sale: 1969 Ford Mustang in Melbourne, Florida

Vehicle Description

You are looking at a 1969 Ford Mustang Grande with a 351 Windsor engine, Candy Apple Red.  Garage kept and a definite “head turner”.  I have clear title.

Background – I bought this mustang in January 2004 from the 1st or 2nd owner in Seattle, Washington, only to find out 2 months later that my wife was pregnant with our first child.  I continued to drive the mustang until about 2008 when child time took over, and so the mustang sat in the garage for the next 12 years.  In 2020, I had to get a new garage door, and the vendor said the mustang had to move.  Since I had to move it, I decided to take it to a mechanic recommended to me and get it running again.  Over the course of the next 2 years (length extended to due COVID which created a lack of availability of parts), the engine and transmission were completely rebuilt from the ground up, and I had a large list of new parts installed (see attached parts list) including an aftermarket A/C system (Classic Auto Air), and also a transition from single to dual exhaust (Flowmaster American Thunder w/Super 44 mufflers and Hedman headers).

In my opinion, the odometer reading is useless, again as the entire engine and transmission have been rebuilt from the ground up and have less than 500 miles on both.

Again, it has been sitting in the garage for over a year, but in September 2024 it was started, backed out to the driveway, washed, and driven back into the garage in preparation for selling.  The car is no longer registered as of January 2025, because in Florida if you have a registered vehicle, you must maintain auto insurance, and I decided not to pay for the annual registration and insurance since I’m selling it. I am including a box of spare parts, cleaning/painting supplies, and the connected NOCO battery maintainer (see pics).  It also comes with 2 sets of working keys (1 set believed to be original), 2 sets of key blanks, and a car cover (see pics).

Below is a list of known issues:

Paint scratches on right rear quarter panel (see pic) and paint blemishes on hood (see pic). Rust bubbles on lower right of driver side door (see pic). Transmission shifts from 1-2 normally, then delays going from 2-  FMX transmission, known issue via research on the internet, something about the “bands” (see and listen to  video). 1” or so play in the power steering along with small leak in power steering system (Researched parts from CJ Pony Parts to fix but never got around to ordering them). Radio doesn’t work.  Was going to replace after the rebuild but never got around to it. Part of the after-market A/C system had to use the space where the glove box is located.

Serious inquiries only please. Payment via Bank Bank Transfer only.

If you have any questions, please contact me and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.  Thank you for looking…
