Vehicle Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS is a stunning, fully
rotisserie-restored example of one of the most iconic muscle cars
of all time. Restored to an incredibly high standard with attention
to factory detail and period-correct accuracy, this car retains its
original character while benefiting from tasteful and subtle
upgrades that enhance drivability and reliability. With its Super
Sport package, numbers-matching drivetrain, and factory-correct
color combination, this Camaro is a rare and highly desirable find
for any collector or enthusiast.
Under the hood is the original numbers-matching L35 396 cubic inch
big block V8, factory-rated at 325 horsepower, breathing through a
Quadrajet carburetor, stock intake, and exhaust manifolds, all
paired with the original OEM ignition setup. The engine bay has
been meticulously detailed to appear just as it would have when
this car rolled off the showroom floor. Backing the big block is
the original numbers-matching Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed
automatic transmission, delivering smooth, reliable shifts and
authentic muscle car feel. Power is sent to the ground through a
12-bolt rear end with highway-friendly 2.73 gears, making this
Camaro an ideal cruiser with plenty of torque and performance when
called upon.
The exterior has been beautifully refinished in its factory-correct
Ermine White (Code C) with a contrasting Black vinyl top (Code C2),
presenting a classic and timeless muscle car profile. The body and
paintwork are laser-straight and flawless, while all trim, chrome,
and badges have either been replaced or restored to show-quality
standards. The car rides on a staggered set of American Racing Torq
Thrust wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires-205/45R17 up
front and 245/45R18 in the rear-offering a modern, aggressive
stance without compromising the car's vintage appeal.
Inside, the factory red interior (Code 724) provides a striking
contrast to the exterior, giving the car a truly standout look. The
cabin features correct vinyl bucket seats, a factory console, and
an overall presentation that reflects the quality of the
restoration. An aftermarket JVC AM/FM/CD player and Pioneer
speakers have been discreetly installed for modern convenience, and
the original factory radio is included in the trunk for those who
may wish to restore it to a full stock configuration. The factory
air conditioning system has been upgraded to R134A, delivering cold
air while maintaining the factory appearance under the dash.
Other features include power front disc brakes and power steering,
making this Camaro not only beautiful to look at but also a
pleasure to drive. The underside of the car is as impressive as the
top, having been completely detailed during the rotisserie
restoration. It's clean, solid, and visually striking-truly a
showstopper when placed on a lift.
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS is a spectacular example of a fully
restored, numbers-matching Super Sport that checks all the right
boxes. With its factory big block, striking factory color combo,
and a meticulous restoration that honors its heritage, this Camaro
is equally suited for local shows, cruise nights, or long drives.
It's a turn-key investment in classic American performance and
style that shows as great as it drives.
