One of only 1165 produced, the 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst/Olds
W-30 combines performance and exclusivity in a single package.
Finished in Cameo White with Gold accents, this limited-edition
model features the distinctive dual-tone scheme that made
Hurst/Olds models instantly recognizable. The 15" Oldsmobile steel
wheels are painted gold and fitted with beauty rings and Oldsmobile
center caps, while 225/60R15 OHTSU FP7000 tires provide the
footprint. Dual sport mirrors and clean body lines give this coupe
a unique look that still draws attention today, just as it did when
new.
Dark Camel Tan velour covers the bucket seats, creating a
comfortable and plush cabin. The factory Hurst Dual Gate shifter
sits within easy reach on the center console, a defining trait of
authentic Hurst/Olds models. Power windows allow for quick
ventilation adjustments, while the tilt wheel enables drivers of
any size to find an ideal position. Air conditioning keeps
occupants cool during summer drives, and the factory AM radio
provides entertainment. Cruise control adds another thoughtful
touch for longer highway jaunts, rounding out an interior that
balances performance with comfort.
Matching numbers make this 350 V8 Rocket engine a key selling point
for collectors. The original powerplant uses a single 4-barrel
carburetor for excellent throttle response and connects to the
numbers-matching TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Power front
disc brakes offer solid stopping capability, and the 10-bolt rear
axle handles the V8's output without complaint. The dual exhaust
system produces an appropriate sound for a performance vehicle,
while the independent front suspension with control arms and coil
springs works with the solid axle rear suspension and factory
trailing arms to deliver a well-balanced ride.
