Garnering over 50 car show trophies within just one year of
completion, the 1951 Kaiser-Frazer Henry J Street Rod wears deep
Brandywine metallic paint with expertly applied flames flowing
across the hood and fenders, all locked under clear coat for
lasting brilliance. Custom flush-mounted handles adorn the doors,
while chrome bullet mirrors flank the sides. A supercharger rises
from the hood, announcing the performance capabilities within. The
15-inch wheels carry 165/80R15 tires up front and massive
31x16.50-15LT tires in the rear, giving this vehicle an
authoritative stance, completed by the wheelie bar mounted
underneath.
Tan and brown create a rich color palette inside, with brown
leather bucket seats featuring contrasting stitching. Door panels
continue the leather theme, maintaining visual continuity
throughout. A full brown leather center console houses cup holders
and chrome push-button controls for vehicle functions and power
windows. The Brandywine-painted dash contains Classic Instruments
gauges for essential vehicle monitoring, with a tachometer
positioned in the console and a boost gauge mounted on the roll
bar. A drilled-out chrome shifter shaft topped with a
leather-wrapped knob sits ready for action, while the extended
steering column allows quick release of the chrome and leather
steering wheel.
Power comes from a 392 HEMI V8 engine, dating from the 1950s Mopar
era. A Weiand supercharger sits atop the motor with dual DFT
4-barrel carburetors feeding the hungry engine. An aluminum water
pump and accessory drive handle cooling and belt functions, with a
large drive belt for the supercharger. The Tremec 3550 5-speed
manual transmission connects to a Currie Trac 9-inch rear end.
Front suspension uses independent setup with tubular upper and
lower control arms, adjustable coilovers, and rack and pinion
steering. The rear employs a solid axle with multi-links and
coilovers. Willwood disc brakes occupy all four corners, while dual
exhaust with cutouts produces an appropriate soundtrack.
