1964 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible

Cool 1964 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible for sale. This nice driving example was refinished in its original Poppy Red with a red interior and white power convertible top. It is equipped with the inline 170 cubic inch 6-cylinder and 2-speed Fordomatic transmission. The car looks to have been restored many years ago to its original with limited use and was recently tuned up and ready to enjoy.
The inline 170 cubic inch starts easily, idles smoothly, and runs well. The Fordomatic 2-speed transmission shifts well, and the braking, Handling, and suspension feel tight. Recent work included a rebuilt carburetor, new fuel filter, tune-up, timing adjustment, Newer wires and spark plugs, new radiator, wheel cylinders all around, sway bars,
KYB shocks and struts, MSD ignition cap and rotor, Scott Drake horn button contacts, Scott Drake turn signal switches, engine oil, and filter. In addition, idler arms, tie rod ends, lube, hoses, and brake work, including cylinders, adjusters, shoes, and hardware, make the car very nice to drive.
Inside is comfortable and nicely functional with a working power top, lights, wipers, heater fan, smooth window regulators,
fuel gauge, speedometer, odometer, and a nice set of modern auxiliary gauges added under the dash, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage.
The paint appears to be older but still shows well. The floors, doors, and car at large look to be mostly rust-free, though, in photos, you will see a minor amount of bubbling under the paint just in front of the right and left rear tires above the rocker. Otherwise, the top is very nice, and the car looks good overall. It rides on a nice set of steel rims with spoke Ford hubcaps wrapped in a set of Maxxis P185/80 R13 tires with 95% or more tread remaining.
