The 1947 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery was a utility vehicle built on
the same platform as Chevrolet's Fleetmaster sedan series. Designed
for tradespeople and light commercial use, it combined the style of
a sedan with the practicality of a cargo hauler. A large rear
single-door allowed access for loading goods.
Serious Upgrades-
Carefully restored in 2016, this 1947 Sedan Delivery had some
serious cosmetic and mechanical upgrades. The straight body has
received a custom two-tone Black/Silver paint job that is in very
good condition, and a rear roll pan is matched with 'frenched'
taillights. The suspension has been slightly lowered, and the body
sits nicely on 15" American slotted alloy wheels that mount
BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
Interior With Style-
The interior has been completely reconfigured for style and
functionality. The driver's compartment is accented by comfortable
bucket seats upholstered in grey cloth and a beautiful dash is
fitted with vintage VDO white-faced analog gauges. Convenience
features include A/C, tinted power windows, tilt custom wheel,
backup camera and a Jensen AM/FM/CD sound system. The rear cargo
area is handsomely finished with grey carpeting, custom headliner
and panel lighting.
Mighty Mouse Small Block-
This '47 Chevy is powered by a GM 350 cubic inch Chevy small block
that is equipped with a 4-barrel carb, Edelbrock aluminum intake
and Chevy ram horn exhaust. Cooling is managed by an HD aluminum
radiator, and the mighty 'Mouse' motor is mated to a GM TH350
automatic transmission. The chassis is fitted with power steering
and power disc/drum brakes w/dual master.
Today, the 1947 Sedan Delivery is a rare collectible for vintage
car enthusiasts.
