This 1975 Jeep CJ-5 is a rally cool 2 Owner, original Jeep that
spent its life in Idaho. This is an all steel Jeep that we
purchased from the 2nd owner who had it for the last 6 years. It is
really cool to find them original like this and having the 304 V8
is cool too. The owner states the miles are original but we do not
have paperwork going back to day one to support that. Based on
condition and the climate it came from we do believe it. The body
is all original and nice. The Autumn Red Metallic paint appears to
be all original and it still has the original vinyl decals on it.
The paint is showing some patina on it because it is original and
it looks great! It has an aftermarket rear bumper with a swing away
spare tire carrier. It has a front winch ready bumper but no winch.
It has an aftermarket hard top and hard doors made by classic which
is very rare and it also comes with a bikini top. When the hard top
is on the back seat cannot be installed. The underside of this Jeep
is super clean and we found no rust issues.
The interior is also in great condition. It has the original front
bucket seats in excellent condition with a matching rear seat. It
has a factory roll bar. The original dash is also in excellent
condition. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn
signals are all working. The gauges all work. The heat and
windshield wipers work. The steering wheel was replaced with an
aftermarket unit so the horn does not work.
Mechanically this jeep is excellent. It runs and drives really
nice! The engine is the 5.0L 304 V8 that runs strong with no issues
or red flags that we found. It appears to be totally stock. It
recently had a new radiator and water-pump installed and the Carb
rebuilt. The transmission is the T-150 3 Speed manual that shifts
nice with a strong clutch. It is mated to the Dana 20 transfer case
and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is an AMC 20 with
3.54 gears and the front axle is a dana 30 with 3.54 gears. This is
all sitting on some nice Vintage Aluminum Slot Wheels with 31 Inch
BFG All Terrain Tires.
