This 1967 Ford Mustang fastback was modified prior to the current
owners 2010 acquisition by installing Eleanor-style bodywork, a
408ci V8, and a five-speed manual transmission. The engine was
assembled with Edelbrock fuel injection, a SCAT crankshaft, a Crane
Cams camshaft, aluminum cylinder heads, and forged flat-top
pistons. The car rides on 17 American Racing Shelby wheels and has
revised springs, Wilwood brake calipers, and rack-and-pinion
steering. The interior houses bolstered seats trimmed in black
along with a Hurst shifter, an aftermarket head unit, air
conditioning, and a fire extinguisher. Eleanor-style bodywork is
finished in gray with black over-the-top stripes, and details
include bullet-style mirrors, center-mounted auxiliary lights, a
raised hood with pins, and a side-exit exhaust system. American
Racing 17 Shelby wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich g-Force Sport
tires. Revised springs, shocks, fabricated sway bar end links, and
rack-and-pinion steering were installed in 2010. The four-wheel
disc brake setup features black Wilwood calipers and front
cross-drilled and slotted rotors. The brake fluid was flushed in
preparation for the sale. The bolstered bucket seats are trimmed in
black and have Carroll Shelby signatures stitched into the
backrests. Appointments include air conditioning, an aftermarket
head unit, a Hurst shifter, and a fire extinguisher. The
woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a
10k-rpm tachometer mounted to the steering column, and auxiliary
gauges. A trio of AutoMeter readouts is mounted below the
dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately
1,500 of which were added under current ownership. The 408ci V8 was
installed in 2003 and assembled with the following components:
Edelbrock Pro-Flo fuel injection SCAT crankshaft Forged JE Pistons
SRP flat-top pistons Clevite bearings Crane Cams camshaft
Double-roller timing set Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads Chromoly
push rods Melling high-volume oil pump Canton oil pan March
Performance serpentine kit The fuel tank and fuel pump were
replaced in 2020, while the battery, engine oil, and coolant were
replaced in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear
wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. In preparation for
the sale, the differential was serviced and the transmission fluid
was replaced. A replacement clutch kit was installed in 2018. For
