This 1987 Mercedes Benz 560 SL Convertible with an accident free
Carfax was purchased from the second owner who bought it from the
original owner in 2004. This vehicle is in very good original
running and driving condition with only 74,814 original miles it
was always garage kept by its previous owners. These very desirable
models came with with 2 tops, a removable color matching hard top
and a black soft top that has been recently replaced. The signal
red exterior shows very little wear for its almost forty year age
and will be going through an extensive paint and interior detail
soon (pictures to come later). The original 15' Gullideckel alloy
wheels are in beautiful condition and Nokian radial tires are in
almost new condition. The well preserved interior features bucket
seats finished in dark charcoal leather with matching door panels
and carpet with woodgrain appointed accents on center console and
dashboard. Other factory creature comforts include air
conditioning, power windows, cruise control and automatic climate
control. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO
instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm
tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil
pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. The 5.5-liter V8 was
factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. The engine
heater and the blower motor regulator were replaced in September
2020, the battery was replaced in June 2023, and an oil change was
performed in June 2024. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a
four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
