CageShown here is a Defender 110 Soft Top 3 Door with a traditional
look, tasteful modifications, and performance upgrades. The engine,
transmission, and transfer box were fully rebuilt by Car Cave and
documented rebuilt with only 600 miles (break-in miles). The engine
build consisted of upgrade heads, camshaft, Edelbrock Performer
intake, headers, and stainless steel exhaust, electric cooling
fans, and a Holley Sniper EFI system showing vitals on with an in
cab screen. We backed the horsepower increase with a POWERspec
clutch from LOF clutches that sends power through a full rebuilt
LT85 transmission and fully rebuilt LT230 transfer box. This
drivetrain is ready to go the distance with plenty of power.We gave
this Defender the code name 'Snow White' (we thought it was better
than Salt 'N' Peppa). The Defender was sold new to mainland Europe
and located by Car Cave in the Uzes, France in the care of a
Monsieur Grijseels. Uzes is located in the Occitanie region of
southern France and is known for its dry climate, as it is close to
the coast between Italy and Spain. Upon inspection, we immediately
identified that this Defender spent its life in the dry French
southern climate and was well taken care of. The undercarriage
shows extremely well and the recent respray is in great condition.
Car Cave did a multi-point inspection and mechanical review of this
Defender upon arrival. We can customize this Defender for it's new
owner including a variety of upgrades. A $400 suspension allowance
is included in the sale price for upgrading the shocks.The 1988
Defender 110 V8 is a rare left hand drive with the factory built
3.5L Rover V8 that has been now been performance modified and fuel
injected. Shown in the in a well-done recent exterior repaint in
white, new black interior throughout, color matching wheel flares,
and nicely contrasting accents all around. We replaced all the
exterior hinges with black CNC aluminum finishes for proper
operation and prevent any rust in the future. A perfectly sized set
of new 255/85R16 BFG Mud Terrain tires wrap around a new set of 16'
Wolf style steel wheels. The factory V8 engine runs extremely well
with a deep subtle growl of a V8 and the chop of a performance cam.
The LT85 5-Speed manual transmission shifts precisely and with ease
through the gears. The upholstery flows well with the overall
minimalist white-on-black aesthetics of this build. The motto of
'simple yet elegant' provided the through line for our design
choices. A few tasteful upgrades have been added to this Defender
but overall stays very original to its heritage. Upgrades include
smoked LED lighting, new black vinyl interior, galvanized cappings,
vented headlamp finishers, HD steering rods, and a front skid
plate. The factory options are pretty typical for a Defender of the
era including a rear step, windshield wipers, blinkers, power
