This 1955 MG TF 1500 was dispatched to the United States in
November 1954 and was acquired by the seller's parents more than 60
years ago. The car is said to have been refurbished around 1970,
and it is finished in green over tan leather. Power is supplied by
a 1.5-liter XPEG inline-four paired with a four-speed manual
transmission, and equipment includes dual SU carburetors, 15? wire
wheels, a beige soft top, side curtains, and a tonneau cover. In
summer 2024, the carburetors were rejetted, the front brakes were
adjusted, and the battery, points and condenser, front engine
mount, steering-rack boots, and tires were replaced. This TF is now
offered with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate,
recent service records.
Chrome-finished 15? wire wheels with knock-off hubs are mounted
with 165/80 Americus Touring Plus tires that were replaced in
August 2024, as was the spare affixed to the rear of the
vehicle.
