When the fifth generation of Nissan's Z came along in 2003, it
revitalized one of the autoverse's most iconic model lines.
Introduced first as a coupe, this 2004 Nissan 350Z Touring
Convertible represents the first drop-top model offering for the
Z33. With just 35,610 actual miles on the clock, it looks and feels
almost new, decked out in its original White Pearl Metallic paint
and contrasting black canvas power top.
Inside, we find a clean and sophisticated original grey leather
interior featuring plush heated power bucket seats for both driver
and passenger. Power locks, windows, mirrors, air conditioning, and
cruise control complete the amenity lineup, while a Bose
AM/FM/CD/Cassette player handles the soundtrack of your choice. A
three-pod gauge cluster featuring a big 8,000 rpm center-mounted
tachometer hints at this car's performance heritage, while a
matching trio of ancillary gauges sits hit atop the center
console.
Under the hood, we find a version of Nissan's now-classic VQ-series
engine. Underneath the factory strut-tower brace, this 3.5-liter
naturally-aspirated V-6, when new, offered up a substantial 287
horsepower and 274 pound-feet of torque. That power is funneled
through a slick-shifting five-speed automatic transmission on its
way to rear six-spoke wheels shod in 225/45R-18 Dunlop rubber. When
first introduced, Motor Trend was able to run this Roadster from
0-60 mph in just under six seconds, which feels plenty fast with
the wind whipping through your hair.

comfortable cruising down the interstate as well as around any
winding backroads you come across, taking the long way home from
work on a sunny day. Four-wheel power disc brakes allow this
Roadster to scrub off speed just as quickly as its VQ engine can
generate it. That stopping power, combined with its front and side
airbags, makes this Z feel safe and secure at all times. If you're
