This Acapulco Blue Mustang is numbers matching, with some modern upgrades. This beauty has a big block 390 4-barrel engine, C-6 automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, 9 inch rear end, front chin spoiler, fold down rear seat, and more! This gorgeous specimen is a very thorough, high quality, older restoration, approximately 12-13 years, and has only accrued less than 5000 miles since that time. This Mustang has been very well maintained over the years and still looks essentially like new inside, outside, and mechanically. Approximately one and a half years ago, the engine and transmission were thoroughly rebuilt, Unisteer Rack and Pinion Power Steering, and brand new air conditioning kit installed. With less than 500 miles since the rebuild, this mustang runs and drives perfectly, and can be driven anywhere, safely, and reliably. This Mustang has just received brand new 15" magnum 500's mounted on 235/60/15 inch tires that have less than 100 miles on them. This stunning mustang looks almost as if it was just freshly restored. OPTIONS AND DETAILED VEHICLE CONDITION BELOW
BODY/FRAME/PAINT.. Vehicle has original frame in perfect rust free condition. The undercarriage is in outstanding rust free condition. This vehicle sports all of its original Ford sheet metal. The body is straight all panels, line up exceptionally well, and during the thorough restoration this vehicle was refinished in its original Acapulco blue color code 6. Despite being an older paint job, the finish presents almost like a new paint job. It has a straight, flat, very glossy, high end finish. There are a couple minor chips that have been brush touched. Again, there is no damage, these are simply minor blemishes consistent with an older paint job. This car is stunning and would look amazing at any car show. During the comprehensive restoration almost all of the chrome and exterior trim was replaced with new, and since this car wasn’t driven much, everything still appears essentially as new. This Mustang has also received new weatherstripping throughout, along with a brand, new front chin, spoiler. The mach-1 decals still look great, and the black out treatment still looks new as well. Inside, outside, underneath, and mechanically this mustang looks much more like a fresh restoration than not. Everything looks pretty much new throughout. DRIVETRAIN.. Original S code 390 engine with C-6 automatic transmission, and 9 inch 3:00 conventional rear end. Engine and transmission were thoroughly rebuilt less than 500 miles ago by a local Ohio shop. At that time, the mustang received unisteer rack and pinion upgrades, new stock style cooling system, holley carb with electric choke, newer dual exhaust, and completely new air conditioning system. This mustang has been very well maintained over the years. This Mach-1 runs, drives, and sounds great.
HYDRAULIC BRAKES.. Power disc brake system has been thoroughly restored during restoration, including all new brake components, booster, etc. Hydraulic braking system has been recently serviced and is in good operating condition.
SUSPENSION/TIRES... It looks like front and rear shocks are newer. Suspension and steering components have been recently inspected and appear to be in good condition. Leaf springs appear newer, front suspension and steering all new unisteer. Wheels and tires are brand new with approximately 50-75 miles on them. (15" Magnum 500's on 235/60/15 tires.)
ELECTRICAL/LIGHTS.. Electrical System is in good condition everything works exactly as it should. Starting/charging system, horns, turn signals, brake lights, interior lights etc. The dash clock looks great, but as most, does not keep time. New A/C system blows ice cold. A newer, more modern AM/FM, radio and rear speakers were installed during the restoration.
INTERIOR.. During the extensive restoration, all of the main interior components were replaced. This Mustang received brand new deluxe black door panels, new Ford dash pad, new Mach-1 seat upholstery, new headliner, new carpet underlayment, new Mach-1 one carpeting, new fold down carpet, new sill plates, new instrument panel and lenses, new clock panel, restored deluxe steering wheel, and other miscellaneous interior pieces. The original floor console is also in very nice shape. The interior still presents as essentially like new.
