Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this eye-catching, bright
red 1972 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyenne, recently treated to a nut & bolt
frame-off restoration. The red paint has a great shine and really
stands out in a crowd, and a close inspection will reveal only
minor imperfections. Adding to the exterior appeal are upper and
lower body side moldings, the lower one containing a woodgrain
center strip - these were part of the Cheyenne package upgrade. The
chrome eggcrate grille looks great flanked by gleaming chrome
square headlight bezels with round lights. Both the front and rear
chrome bumpers have a mirror-like shine. Good-looking brightwork
continues with the window trim, dual side mirrors, door handles,
and gas cap. Both fenders sport "350/8" and "Cheyenne10" badges in
very good condition. Around back, you'll find a red painted bed
with a black rubber Holley mat, woodgrain trim on the tailgate, and
dual exhaust that exits behind the rear wheels. This whole package
has a great stance atop 18" 5-spoke chrome Ridler Mags all wrapped
in Sumitomo Radial tires. A quick look underneath reveals a
beautiful black undercarriage that's a testament to the detailed
restoration.
Under the hood is a clean and organized engine bay with slick red
paint. At the heart is a 350ci GM crate V-8 topped off with cast
iron heads, a polished aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold, chrome
"CHEVROLET" valve covers, a Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and a
polished aluminum air cleaner. Exhaust exits through Hooker headers
and flows into newer pipes with Thrush mufflers. You'll also notice
that this C10 is equipped with power steering, power brakes
(disc/drum), HEI ignition, and working factory A/C. The V-8 is
mated to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission that puts down the
power via a 12-bolt rear end with freeway-friendly open 3.07:1
gears.
Open the door, and the courtesy light pops on to illuminate a very
appealing black and maroon interior with red painted accents. The
black vinyl bench seat is in excellent condition, has an
embroidered bowtie and "Chevrolet" on the back, and it's as
comfortable as it is good-looking. The maroon door panels look OEM
correct and are contrasted by the red painted doors. The red
painted dash is topped by a crack-free maroon vinyl pad and
accented by a black gauge bezel. The gauges include battery, temp,
fuel, oil, speedometer, and tachometer - all appear original, and
they all work. The odometer reads 69,382 miles, and the title
confirms them to be actual! At the center of the dash is a Dual
AM/FM stereo that is currently inoperative. Just below the stereo
are the original climate controls, which crank out cold A/C and hot
heat on demand. The air blows through a central dash vent as well
as aftermarket circular vents affixed to the far sides of the dash.
Ahead of the driver is a 4-spoke Chevy steering wheel with a
working horn button on a tilt column that also offers a shifter for
the automatic transmission. Also on the dash is a knob for the
working 2-speed wipers. Ahead of the passenger is an empty
glovebox, and underfoot is maroon carpet kept nice with a black and
red rubber double-wide floormat. Overhead, you'll find dual maroon
visors and a maroon vinyl headliner with chrome trim. Behind the
bench seat is a 4-piece sliding rear window with a light tint - a
nice extra!.
If you're a C-10 fan or just looking for a cool older truck, it's
hard to beat the good looks and creature comforts of this '72!
Whether you're taking it to a car show, going out to dinner, or
just cruising around town, this Chevy is sure to turn heads
everywhere it goes. Give our friendly staff a call today before
someone else snatches this beauty up!
