Silver bullets in the automotive world are rare, but this 1972
Chevrolet Nova SS Tribute ProStreet proves the exception with its
aggressive silver paint job accented by mean black painted stripes.
From the ground up, every detail of this Nova has been built for
high performance, including the cowl induction hood, SS badging,
and street-dominating stance. The rally wheels-15 inches all
around-wrapped in 215/60R15 front and P275/60R15 rear tires
maintain this Nova's street presence while the racing heritage
comes through with visual intensity and zero compromise.
Inside the cockpit, gray vinyl and cloth combine on the bench seat
for a clean, performance-oriented layout. The Dakota digital gauges
provide all the vital information needed while the custom center
console houses a Hurst ratchet shifter for precise control through
the gears. Chrome tilt steering column, retro-style radio, and a
full roll cage with racing harnesses complete the race-ready
interior while allowing for street cruising comfort. Power controls
mounted on the dash keep everything within easy reach during
high-speed runs.
Muscle speaks volumes in the mechanical department with a 406
Stroker V8 producing serious power. Based on a 350 block with
aluminum heads and intake, this powerplant breathes through a
Holley 4-barrel carburetor and Assault high-rise intake manifold.
The Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission with manual valve
body sends power to the GM 10-bolt rear end. Long tube headers
wrapped for heat control connect to a dual exhaust system.
Independent coilover front suspension coupled with leaf springs,
traction bars and air shocks out back provide the perfect stance
and handling.
