Vehicle Description
This exciting 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Convertible tribute pays
homage to the great performance-packed Mustangs of the past with a
powerful engine and numerous upgrades. 1971-1973 were the last
years of the first-generation Mustang and the final years a
convertible would be produced for a decade.
Finished in Dark Silver with Black Mach 1 graphics and stripes,
this powerful Mustang looks the part with a black-finish factory
twin scoop hood, chin spoiler, rear wing and body-colored bumpers
front and rear. The muscle car vibe of this classic is enhanced
with a set of 17-inch American Racing wheels wrapped with Riken
performance tires staggered 235/45ZR17 front and 255/50ZR17 rear
for a confidant stance.
Under the hood is a rebuilt and 351 cubic inch engine mated to a
3-speed automatic transmission that sends power back to a 9-inch
Ford rear end. The engine was bored .030 over to create 357 cubic
inches. Other mechanical upgrades include a new flex plate, new
starter, new water pump, new oil pan, an aluminum intake manifold,
power steering, Holley open-element air cleaner, power brakes with
front discs and a rumbling dual exhaust system with Flowmaster
mufflers.
The very clean black interior is equipped with factory high-back
bucket seats, an upgraded wood-rimmed steering wheel,
power-operated convertible top with glass rear window and a modern
retro-style Mustang logo radio.
