Description:
This 1991 Ford Mustang LX notchback is powered by a Ford
Performance 363ci V8 that was installed during a refurbishment
under prior ownership, and a Paxton supercharger, a modified fuel
system, and a Tremec five-speed manual transmission were installed
after the seller purchased the car in 2020. It was refinished in
green over gray cloth upholstery, and a carbon-fiber hood was
installed along with a Hurst shifter, aftermarket auxiliary gauges,
an aluminum radiator, and stainless headers and exhaust. Chassis
modifications include a Griggs Racing front crossmember and front
and rear control arms, welded subframe connectors, and Baer brakes
with drilled and slotted rotors.
Interior:
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a column-mounted Ford Racing
tachometer along with a 140-mph speedometer, a factory tachometer,
and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel
level. Auxiliary gauges on the A-pillar provide readouts for
coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage, while additional
gauges below the radio display boost pressure, air/fuel ratio, and
fuel ethanol content. The seller notes Dynamat insulation was
installed along with replacement carpeting as well as a headliner,
center console, and rear package tray during the refurbishment. The
articulated front seats and rear bench are upholstered in gray
cloth, and appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, a
cassette stereo, a Hurst shifter, and power windows and door locks.
Infinity speakers have been installed in the dash, doors, and
package tray.
Exterior:
The car was disassembled and refinished in Deep Emerald Green
during the refurbishment completed in 2020, and replacement
windshield, weatherstripping and seals, and lights and lenses were
installed. The carbon-fiber cowl hood was installed under current
ownership, and the removed body-color hood will accompany the car.
Five-spoke 17? alloy wheels were reportedly widened in the rear by
Weldcraft Wheels and are mounted with 225/45 Nitto NT555 front
tires and 275/40 Mickey Thompson ET Street rear tires.
Drivetrain:
The Ford Performance 363ci V8 was installed in 2020 along with a
Paxton NOVI 2000 supercharger, and it has been tuned for E-85 fuel.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKX five-speed
manual transmission, a McLeod RXT clutch, a Ford Racing driveshaft,
and an 8.8? rear end with 31-spline axles and a 3.73:1 limited-slip
differential. Stainless headers feed into a dual exhaust system
with a crossover pipe and MagnaFlow mufflers. Motor / Trans /
Clutch still in break in period. Dynoed at 600ish with clutch
slipping before replacement.
