It came from the factory in its original Hugger Orange dress with black stripes and a black vinyl top. The body and paint are in immaculate condition. The finish has a mirror-like gloss, and the panel fit is excellent. This is a real RS, featuring a special front grille, concealed headlights, wheel opening moldings, simulated side louvers, front fender Rally Sport badges, and bright-accented taillights and parking lights with backup lights below the rear bumper. Being an early production Z/28, it came with the flat hood and short rear spoiler.

The undercarriage is absolutely spotless. All the glass is original and in good condition. The aluminum trim is original or restored, in very good shape with no dents. The chrome rear bumper is original and has been rechromed.

This Z/28 came from the factory with a high-revving 302ci engine, solid lifters, and a Holley 750 4-barrel carburetor. It retains its original “Matching Numbers” 302, fully rebuilt to factory specs during the restoration. In 1970, GM engineers broke the M21 transmission casing; it was replaced with an M20 casing but retains the factory M21 gear ratio. The rear end is original, date-correct, with 3.73 Positraction. It still wears its original 15x7 GM wheels.

The vehicle was completely restored in 2010, used only on special occasions, and just underwent a full refresh in 2025. The pictures speak for themselves.
