Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in the
classic and muscle car business. Following the end of World War II
in 1945, civilian car production in America slowly resumed, with
most manufacturers making small changes to their pre-war designs.
Ford picked up where they left off in 1942, but it refreshed its
cars' exteriors with a new horizontal grille and wider hood for
'46. Also new was its 239cui engine , previously used in Mercury's
and Ford Trucks producing 100 horsepower. Fords of this generation
are attractive cars, beloved for their distinctive 1940s styling
cues and exceptional color schemes. They remain highly sought after
today to enjoy in factory specification or as the basis for a
custom build like this one. Among the Tudor Sedan restomod's
features: its original engine has been replaced with a Chevrolet
327cui small-block V8 rated for 290 horsepower; it has been lowered
and shaved of its door handles; it wears natural patina and custom
pin striping, which have been preserved with clear coat; and it has
a new, custom interior featuring patterned, wool blanket
upholstery. This Ford is really a nice driving car with a stout
327cui V8 paired to a power glide making it a smooth driving car
with an edge. Although lowered, this car still floats across the
road like a Cadillac. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full
service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery,
insurance, and financing options.
