The Series 62 by Cadillac was built from 1940 through 1964 across
seven generations of design. The third generation of the Series 62
was built from 1948 through 1953 and like every other manufacturer
during this recent postwar time, they were slow to get off the
assembly lines. However, February 1948, the first cars rolled off
sporting tail fins inspired by the Lockheed P-38 fighter plane.
They would still use the flat-head V8's of pre war until 1949 when
they changed to a standard V8 with 331 Cubic inches of displacement
producing 160 HP. Although this Cadillac that we are representing
appears to be original, There is definitely been an engine upgrade
and also transmission from what we can tell. This is a really cool
car with some modern amenities, engine, trans, cooling and vintage
A/C and heat along with radio. Looks the same but drives better.
The paint was done some time ago but still shows nicely and is a
treat to drive down the road. We welcome and inspections or
questions that you may have. These are becoming harder and harder
to find. If you want a really cool cruiser then you may want to
take a look at this.
