This 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 is a thoughtfully upgraded, and
mechanically sorted example of the iconic Defender. Originally sold
new in France and later imported to the United States by Car Cave.
This vehicle has benefitted from a complete mechanical review and
performance enhancements by Car Cave USA in our Aiken, South

Roll Cage with Exmoor Trim Soft TopPower comes from the dependable
300TDI 2.5L turbo diesel engine paired to a smooth-shifting R380
5-speed manual transmission. It delivers excellent torque, great
fuel economy, and long-haul durability. The engine runs smoothly
and shifts even better thanks to a short throw shift kit, LOF
clutch hydraulics, Power Clutch Kit (with HD fork) and plenty of

repaint in Coniston Green (LRC570) under previous ownership in
France and was fitted with a Puma hood, snorkel, black CNC aluminum
door hinges, tubular winch bumper, Warn VR10 winch with smooth
fairlead, and front skid plate. 285/75R16 BFGoodrich KO2 tires wrap
Land Rover 5-spoke alloy wheels and are supported by upgraded +2'
Old Man Emu lift springs, shocks, and steering stabilizer. Other
cosmetic upgrades include LED lighting, black wingtop chequere
plates, wide fender flares, and Masai Fire & Ice side steps. A
black Exmoor Trim soft top with side windows and Loxx fasteners
finishes the look which is held up by a Safety Devices roll cage.
We used the Loxx fasteners in the rear to allow for easier entry in
and out of the vehicle.Inside, the cabin features Exmoor Trim Elite
MKII heated front seats with lumbar support, a premium high-top
cubby box, billet shift knob, short-throw shifter, and Momo leather
steering wheel. A Safety Devices heavy-duty roll cage includes a 3
point seat belt attachment and a bulkhead removal for added room in
the front passenger compartment (a wonderful upgrade for those of
us taller than 5'). The floor is insulated and protected by an
Exmoor molded front mat system. Rear jump seats increase seating
capacity to six and are paired with a 3-point seatbelt bar. A
custom Sony ES touchscreen head unit integrates SiriusXM,
Bluetooth, and modern audio throughout upgraded front and rear
Focal speakers. Additional interior upgrades include air
conditioning, USB dash power ports, a rear cargo mat, CNC Aluminum
door pulls and HVAC knobs, plus an easily accessible battery

KnobsMechanically, the Defender received a full front axle swivel
service, new rear A-frame ball joint, trailing arms with bushings,
thermal engine covers, brake inspection, and alignment. A vacuum
pump and clutch slave/master cylinder were also replaced. All
fluids were checked and serviced. Additional detail work included
tailoring the soft top, adjusting interior fitments, correcting a
non-functioning blower motor, rewiring reverse lights, and
replacing visors, lights, and dash trim. No area was
