1935 Chevrolet Standard Roadster For Sale - Multiple Concours Award
Winner, Last Of Only 50 Examples LMC is very proud to offer for
sale this 1935 Chevrolet Standard Roadster The 1935 Chevrolet
Standard Roadster is a beautifully crafted, open-top automobile
that embodies the elegance and innovation of pre-war American
motoring. Its sweeping fenders, bold chrome grille, and split
windshield contributed to its distinctive presence. As part of
Chevrolet's Standard series, this roadster was designed to offer a
stylish vehicle for buyers seeking a balance between performance
and refinement. The roadster body style featured a folding soft top,
allowing drivers to enjoy open-air motoring. Inside, the cabin was
simple yet functional, with a focus on driver ergonomics and an
elegant dashboard layout. Under the hood, the Standard Roadster was
powered by Chevrolet's 206ci inline-six engine, producing 75
horsepower-a respectable output for its time. This engine was
paired with a three-speed manual transmission, delivering smooth
and reliable performance. Chevrolet's "Knee-Action" independent
front suspension, available on higher trims, provided enhanced ride
comfort compared to many of its rigid-axle contemporaries. With
only 50 examples ever produced for export, this car was the last
produced as per the official Chevrolet records and quite possibly
the finest Roadster example in the world having won multiple
concours awards. The list of awards includes VCCA National (scoring
a perfect 1000 points), VCCA Best Of The Best Award, VCCA Senior,
Preservation & Heritage Foundation Award. This is the result of a
concours level restoration by a marque specialist, with no expense
spared and close to $200,000 in receipts will accompany the car.
During the restoration process the wood was replaced and metalwork
was done meticulously to ensure quality panel alignment. The
quality of the Black paintwork is exceptionally highlighted by a
hand-applied pinstripe along the bodyline of the Roadster. The
interior "Tan Spanish Grain" upholstery was duplicated on the
interior seat and rumble seat. The convertible top (including
correct original side curtains) and interior was done by a national
award-winning upholsterer, after exhaustive research to be sure
every upholstery feature and all trim was correct. All mechanical
driveline parts were rebuilt to how it left the factory. The chrome
plating was done by a proven Pebble-Beach quality chrome plater.
Many original or NOS parts were sourced during the restoration
adding to the cost of the restoration. The undercarriage has been
finished in the same quality as the topside with all suspension
components painted and bolts plated correctly. Included in the sale
of this special Roadster are handcrafted side curtains, convertible
boot, original style tool kit. A complete restoration documentation
package is included with the car, which includes over 5,000 photos
of the restoration process, a listing of every single item
purchased for the car, the daily log of all restoration work done,
and factory documentation of its provenance. With single family
ownership for over 60 years, this Chevrolet Roadster has been the
family's pride and joy, warranting this level of restoration.
Today, it remains a sought-after collector's car, valued for its
classic styling, historical significance, and open-air driving
experience. Additional Details: 1935 CHEVROLET STANDARD ROADSTER -
