Powered by a 428 CI Police Interceptor V8 engine paired with a C-6 automatic transmission, this iconic muscle car is one of only 2,048 GT500s produced for 1967—and one of just 25 originally equipped with an automatic transmission, making it an exceptionally rare example.
Ford serial number 7R02Q154159 was removed prior to delivery. Shelby serial number 67410F2A00338 confirms the car’s factory configuration, including the original color combination, engine, body style, and its place in production. According to the Shelby Registry, this GT500 was completed on January 11, 1967, and initially delivered to a Ford dealer in New York where it was used as a demonstrator and fitted with a new engine during that time. Since then, it has had five documented personal owners, including the current owner.
The car underwent a full restoration in February 1995 by its third owner, as noted in the Shelby Registry. Today, it remains a well-preserved, complete example, offering one of the most desirable color combinations and the extremely rare factory automatic setup.
