This restoration, done by Gene Ponder out of Texas, has a
Turbocharged 2.4L Flat 6 paired with a 4-speed manual. The turbo,
transmission, and engine were all recently rebuilt as of this
writing. Outputting 150hp! The first turbocharged American made
vehicles were the 1962 Corvair Spyder and the 1962 Oldsmobile F-85
Jetfire; notably BOTH General Motors brands! Riding on wire wheel
covers with white wall tires. Red vinyl bucket seat interior (781
trim) with shifter on the floor. Luggage rack in the rear. Chrome
and brightwork in great shape throughout. Manual convertible top is
white with plastic rear window and fits as it should. Red
convertible top cover will be included and in good shape too.
Brakes are 80% in the front and 90% in the rear. Bottom ball joints
are starting to show wear. Complete exhaust front to rear. Seats
and carpeting in great shape! Aftermarket stereo added to the dash.
Full size spare located in the engine bay!
