Vehicle Description
1991 Volkswagen T3 Syncro DokaTurbo Diesel ? 5-Speed Manual ?
Locking Diff ? Austrian Import ? Project TruckThis 1991 Volkswagen
T3 Syncro Doka is a rare, rugged, and highly capable double-cab
pickup imported from Austria in Spring 2018. Originally used by a
horticulture business, this European-market Transporter is equipped
with a mechanically-injected 1.6L turbodiesel inline-four paired to
a 5-speed manual transaxle featuring a Gel?nde low-range first
gear. The Steyr-Puch-designed Syncro all-wheel-drive system
includes a locking rear differential and viscous center coupling,
giving it real off-road chops.Offered as a project, this Doka runs,
starts, stops, and drives, and the engine runs smooth. Car Cave
rebuilt the rear brakes, and the previous owner installed a
brand-new set of tires. We have not completed a full mechanical
inspection, and the vehicle is being sold in as-is condition. A
full walk-around and driving video is available here on our Car
Cave USA YouTube channel, where you can get a detailed look at the
truck's current state.Finished in green with factory bumpers,
European-market lighting, and plate mounts, the exterior shows
honest wear including visible rust, dents, and touch-up areas. The
pickup box features fold-down side and rear panels for easy cargo
access and a lockable pass-through storage compartment under the
bed.The cabin is simple and functional with tan cloth and vinyl
seats, brown door panels, and black rubber floor mats. The dash
retains factory heater and differential lock controls, while the
radio has been removed. A single right-side door provides access to
the rear bench seat, which has worn through in the center.Whether
you're looking to restore, customize, or build out a capable
utility rig, this Syncro Doka offers an uncommon platform with
serious potential. Clean title included.
