This car has gone through a major restoration and drives great. The idea was to get a balance between classic feel and modern safety. For example, drum breaks was replaced with disk brakes but no power breaks. Original steering box has been rebuilt for safer and tighter steering but the old power steering still remains. And so on.
Mechanics:
New 360 Engine with four barrel carb and muscle car headers. Electronic ignition.
New 5 speed automatic transmission for freeway travel.
Rebuilt radiator.
Rebuilt and enhanced steering box with modernized steering.
Rebuilt steering pump.
Replaced steering arms, rods, etc.
Replaced old drum brakes with top of the line disk breaks.
Replaced suspension.
New starter.
New alternator.
New wiper system: new wiper blades, new motor, new arms.
Re-sealed fuel tank with new sender unit and new fuel gauge.
New mufflers and pipes
If there is any part I miss, you can be sure it is new or original rebuilt.
Body:
Straight body with no rust whatsoever (Arizona/California car). Still has the original owner's car who purchased it in San Diego, CA.
Beautiful blue paint in great condition but there are few minor scratches..
New seals everywhere (doors, windows, trunk, etc)
Interior:
New interior throughout, except for rear door panels. New carpet, new headliner, new seat covers, dashboard top, top moldings, etc.
New window regulators.
Original radio rebuilt and working.
Wiring:
- Every wire was replaced one by one. Better grounding with fuses wherever needed. Additionally, a new complete wiring harness kit will be provided with vehicle for the future owner if he ever wants to rewire it again in the future.
Tires and Rims:
American Classic rims
4 new tires.
It has Arizona plates and mileage is undetermined but no more than 3000 miles after restoration.
