This 1984 GMC Sierra Classic 2500 is a highly optioned, really
cool, and very original 3/4 ton truck that spent its life in Nevada
and California. The last owner of this truck did a lot of
mechanical work to this truck to make it a dependable driver for
him, but he left the body and paint original and there is a lot of
patina, but the truck is solid. The body is solid and straight. The
Light Saddle Metallic and Doeskin Tan paint appears to be all
original and has a ton of patina. But they are only original once
and this one looks pretty cool, runs and drives awesome, and is
priced accordingly. The underside of this truck is really clean and
we found no rust issues.
The interior is nice and mostly original. It has an aftermarket
bench seat that was installed years ago and is much more
comfortable. The carpet and door panels are original and nice. The
dash has a cover because of the normal cracking you see on a SW
truck like this. The headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn
signals are all working. The gauges all work. This truck has tilt
wheel and working cruise control. It has working power windows and
power locks with new window motors and actuators. The horn,
windshield wipers and heat are working. This is an AC truck but it
is missing the compressor and some lines.
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives great.
The engine is the 5.7L 350 V8 that was rebuilt and it has an
Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carb, fuel pump, HEI
Distributor, and new alternator when rebuilt. It has headers with
dual Flowmaster Exhaust that sounds great. The transmission is the
Turbo 400 Automatic that shifts great with a shift kit installed.
They added a deep B & M Tranny pan when the transmission was
rebuilt. It is mated to the np241 transfer case and the 4WD works
like it should. The rear end is a Corporate 14 Bolt with 3.73
gears. The front end is a Corporate 10 Bolt with 3.73 gears. It has
a nice 4 Inch Lift Kit with Rancho adjustable shocks. This is all
sitting on some nice aftermarket aluminum wheels with 285/75/16 Mud
Terrain Tires.
