Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to digitally present this
extremely rare 1997 Pontiac Firebird Formula Firehawk convertible.
Well, what do we have here!? Pontiac lovers and collectors please
pay attention as this is an important Poncho. You do not see the
Firehawks come up for sale often and when was the last time you saw
a CONVERTIBLE with a stick for sale? Probably never. And before you
call and ask, yes, it is real with RPO codes of R6V, WU6, and 10T,
still on the drivers door. The standard '97 Formula or Trans Am LT1
5.7 350ci was rated at 275hp, but the Firehawks were turned up to
an advertised 310hp. A special hood, Ram air induction, specific
wheels, and badging let everyone know this was no ordinary
"Screaming Chicken." According to Firehawk.org only 16 convertibles
were made in 1997. Of the 16 units, only 4 were red, and only 2 had
white leather interior and a white top. Are you getting the
picture? This bird is both rare and well done and the chances of
you finding the only one other convertible in red and white is slim
to none. The consignor has owned the car since '97 when it had just
a few thousand miles on it. This is a highly collectible Pontiac
that will definitely draw attention and continue to increase in
value. Without question, this one will fly away soon!
