This 1977 Lotus clat is one of a claimed 1,500 Type 76/84 cars
produced from 1975 through 1982. Chassis 0190E is said to have
undergone a repaint in yellow as part of a refurbishment completed
by a prior long-term owner and was acquired by the selling dealer
in January 2025. The car is powered by a 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four
fitted with a pair of Dell'Orto carburetors that is mated to a
four-speed manual gearbox. It rolls on 13? alloy wheels and is
equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension, rack-and-pinion
steering, and power-assisted front disc brakes.
Interior:
The wood-rimmed Lecarra steering wheel is joined by a
console-mounted shifter with a burl wood knob. Smiths
instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer and a 7,500-rpm
tachometer flanked by gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant
temperature, and fuel level. The 2+2 cabin features fixed-back
front bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with vent grommets
and adjustable head restraints. Three-point seatbelts are outfitted
up front, while the individual rear seats are accompanied by lap
belts.
Exterior:
The fiberglass body was repainted yellow under previous ownership
and features a black hood vent, side mirrors, full-length body-side
moldings, and Euro-style bumpers. Additional exterior details
include pop-up headlights, polished rocker-panel and window trim,
rear mud flaps, and dual exhaust outlets. Twelve-spoke 13? alloy
wheels are mounted with 205/60 Toyo Proxes RA1 tires with 2017
production codes.
Drivetrain:
Power is transferred to the rear wheels by way of a four-speed
manual gearbox. The 2.0-liter Lotus 907 inline-four features an
aluminum block and cylinder head, four valves per cylinder, and
