• 1600cc Engine No. 715223 - Matching
• Transmission No. - 81977 - Matching
• Completed September 1, 1964
• One of 1,744 356C Cabriolets produced in 1964
According to the Kardex, this Cabriolet was originally finished in
Ruby Red with a Black interior, and options include chrome wheels,
Dunlop tires, and an AM/FM Blaupunkt radio. The first owner was
Helen P Squire from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Delivered by P.C. Import
located in Northbrook, Illinois, they were one of the seven Porsche
distributors in the USA in the early 1960s.
This is a great open 356 C Cabriolet with a strong running 1600cc
75 horsepower engine (Type 616/15), with smooth shifting manual
4-speed transmission (Type 741), four-wheel disc brakes, and
matching engine and transmission per Porsche Kardex. The paint work
has patina and some paint imperfections. However, it is very solid
and rust-free, and the undercarriage has been completely detailed,
including the suspension. It is becoming very difficult to find
good 356 C Cabriolets. This is a great opportunity to purchase a
matching number open 356 at a very reasonable entry-level
price.
