JUST 24,833 MILES! NOT SOLD NEW UNTIL 2016!! Here's the scoop....
There once was a very well known Oldsmobile dealership in Needham Massachusetts called Berejik Oldsmobile. George Berejik was the owner and ran the Oldsmobile only dealership for 30 years. George was also well known on the New England racing circuit for his Oldsmobile racing team. George was more than just a dealer, he was an enthusiast and collector, especially of Oldsmobile, of course. George was known to stash away a brand new car that he felt deserved to be preserved in Oldsmobile history. Many cars included Cutlass Vista wagons, 442 and the various Hurst offerings over the years. Not just muscle cars though, he also had an affinity for the luxury models offered by Olds. This very 1986 98 Regency Brougham is one of those very vehicles. Ordered new by George himself to be stashed away in his private collection, being used extremely sparingly. So sparingly in fact that in 2016 when the famous collection was auctioned off, this car had just about 1600 miles accumulated only! The car was sold to it's first retail owner off the factory DSO in 2016! Fast forward to today and it now resides with his second owner who purchased it in 2021 with just 3,135 miles! He drove the car more regularly in nice weather, frequently making appearances at local cruise nights and car shows. He enjoyed showing the car and the car enjoyed being shown. Especially in a sea of ordinary car show entrats like Corvettes, Mustangs and Camaros. The crowds loved seeing it. Such a rare sight, especially in the like new condition it's remained in.
This is a Brougham so it's fully equipped and George checked off even more boxes adding almost $2,000 in options (See window sticker). The power sliding moonroof George had dealer installed but looks right at home and works properly still. Dual power seats WITH driver memory and it all works! Auto temp control also functions as designed and does the power widows, locks and antenna (Those never work!). Unfortunately the original Delco Bose stereo became inoperable during the last ownership so the original sound system was replaced with a modern one. The original non functioning unit is missing. Used ones are available online.
Under the hood is the super popular and reliable 3.8 V6. Pre 3800 so this one is without a balance shaft but you'd never know it. This car runs and drives like you just drove off the lot in 1986.
GORGEOUS Medium Blue Metallic paint with hardly a flaw. Just one very small ding on the hood that's hardly noticeable. No scratches, not clear coat peel, no fading and it's all original! Remember how bad GM paint was during these years? This is a TRUE SURVIVOR.
The blue leather interior is as supple and soft as the day it was installed. No pulls, cracks or low spots. Literally like NEW.
