The Chevelle is a mid-sized auto produced by Chevrolet in 3 generations form 1964-1977. Although still considered the first generation 1966 model year saw a complete restyle that included smooth contours, a broad new grill, bumper treatment and curved side windows. The new body reflected the "Coke bottle" body shape that became the fad for American cars in the mid-1960s. The 1967 models received large wrap around tail lamps that went into a new rear end with standard reverse lights. This particular example was born as a Malibu and was cloned as a Chevelle SS when it was restored in 2019. During its restoration it received a new ZZ502 crate engine, a freshly rebuilt M22 4-speed tranny and the 10 bolt rear end was gone through as well. At the same time it received a new steel hood, front bumper and fenders as it was previously all changed to fiberglass. It was also repainted in a gorgeous Viper Blue, the trim work was all redone as was the interior. The interior is mostly stock except for the 3 spoke chrome steering wheel, Summit Racing tachometer and the AM/FM Cassette player with newer speakers. It has power steering, newer shocks and it was fit with a set of chrome Cragar SS rims wrapped in BF Goodrich radial T/A’s with 215/70R15’s up front and 275/60R15’s in the rear. The engine bay was nicely enhanced with chrome valve covers, air cleaner, radiator shroud and a few other chrome pieces. It has a newer aluminum radiator and it sound just plain nasty ripping through its dual performance exhaust. The car was finished about 6 years ago when it had just over 75,000 original miles. It now has just under 83,000 miles. It was serviced last fall before it was put up for the winter and has been driven less than a couple hundred miles since. Everything is in proper working order except for the fuel gauge which the current owner never bothered with as he just watched the mileage for reference. All said and done this is an awesome 67 Chevelle that is a blast to drive and incredible to look at. We have priced it fairly so if you like what you see we encourage you to contact us before it is too late!
