Melanson Motors is proud to offer this 1937 Ford Cabriolet Street Rod. This is a very handsome hot rod that was built properly. The car is comfortable to drive and performs very well! This Ford has a Henry Ford steel body and fiberglass fenders. The panel fit and gaps are good. The pure white paint is a base/clear and is excellent. The grille, bumpers, headlight bezels, mirrors and other brightwork show well without flaws. The original frame is boxed with a Mustang II front end installed. This car features a 350 cubic inch engine with ceramic coated headers, an aluminum intake manifold, chrome alternator, and a 4 barrel Weber carburetor. The engine is kept cool by an electric fan. The transmission is a 700R4 four speed automatic. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch. The rear suspension is a triangulated 4-link with coil springs. This hot rod has front disc brakes and stops on a dime. The undercarriage is nicely detailed and painted black.
The interior is stunning! It is all custom and in excellent condition. The leather bench seat, rumble seat and door panels all match and are tan in color. The carpet is also tan in color. The convertible top is a nice match and is in good condition. The interior features a tilt steering column, power windows, a VDO gauge cluster and a Billet Specialties steering wheel.
The car rides on 15 inch Eagle Alloy 203 wheels. The tires are 225/70R15 Goodyear Eagle GTII on the rear with 195/65R15 up front.
