The 993-generation Porsche 911 (1994-1998) played a pivotal role in
Porsche's dramatic turnaround during the 1990s, helping the brand
recover from near-bankruptcy. In 1993, Porsche's North American
sales were dangerously low, with only 3,713 vehicles sold, but by
1998, sales had soared to 18,207, largely due to the 993's success.
Known as the most elegant of the air-cooled 911s, the 993 platform
combined the classic 911 identity with modern refinements, offering
smoother lines, improved engineering, and a thrilling driving
experience. Over time, Porsche expanded the 993 lineup with
variants like the Turbo, Targa, C2S, C4S, RS, and GT2, yet there is
something particularly captivating about a final generation
air-cooled 993 that captured the pure essence of the 911 in its
most unadulterated form.
This very early 993-generation 911 Carrera Coupe completed
production on 13 October 1993, finished in Polar Silver over a
Black leather interior. The Italian-market Coupe was sold new on 16
March 1994, equipped with 17-inch Cup wheels, power-adjustable
comfort seats, green-tinted glass, and air conditioning. While the
early history of this 911 remains unknown, the car was imported to
the U.S. from the Netherlands in April 2023. Offered with just
34,000 kilometers or 21,000 miles at cataloging, this attractive
and well-presented Carrera Coupe remains in excellent condition
today. Furnished with two keys, owner's manual, and a clean CARFAX
Vehicle History Report, this early production 993 is sure to
delight today as it did 30 years ago, offering an ideal blend of
modern convenience and classic Porsche styling in equal
measure.,
