Vehicle Description
H ere is a really stunning looking Rolls-Royce Silver Spur last of
the series (colloquially referred to as the Spur IV) finished in
all over white with beautiful contrasting cream Connolly leather
hides accented by rich St James red piping, carpeting and trim. The
twin fine lines to the waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings are
hand-painted in dark red to match the interior accents. This is
what is known as a 57,000 series SZ so it has all the upgrades over
the previous models; the Silver Spirit and Silver Spur, II and III.
Released in late 1995, they feature a vast number of engine and
drive train improvements and cosmetic updates. A new design of
intake manifold and cylinder heads increased power output. The
parameters of the semi-active suspension system were improved,
noticeably impacting ride quality. New design 16? alloy wheels were
also added. Dual airbags were introduced inside, along with
independent adjustment of the rear seats and a revised dash and
centre console. They are distinctive on the road with their
wrap-around style integrated front and rear bumper design. This
Silver Spur is well known to us having been a fully maintained
example whereby everything and anything needing to be done has been
done so without sparing expense. Every service is completely up to
date. The car has travelled a very low 32,000 miles and looks and
drives every part of such. The body of the car is very straight and
the paint in excellent condition. It appears to be all original and
is consistent and very deep in lustre and shine. There are hardly
any notable chips and marks if any. It is very shiny without any
fading, dents or dings. Rubbers, mouldings, badges and external
fittings are all in excellent condition. The interior of this car
is stunning. The Connolly leather shows beautifully and is
completely original. It remains very soft and supple without any
signs of extraordinary wear. The cream and red combination is
strikingly elegant. The wood throughout is excellent and can
comfortably be described as excellent showing only the most minor
lacquer cracks or marks, none of which would be considered an issue
or an aesthetic distraction to the interior. And, of course, the
50,000+ series cars have the beautiful teak in-lay that is truly in
tune with the best of wood-working craftsmanship. Carpets, seats,
dash, front top-roll, rear parcel shelf and fixtures are truly
excellent and I best encourage you to look at all the photos to
fully appreciate how nicely the interior presents. As part of
Park-Ward's maintenance program known as "Predelivery
Commissioning", all electricals and features & functions are
inspected so when the car is delivered, everything is operating as
it should; windows, seats, mirrors, A/C, heater, lights, wipers,
etc. Right down to every light bulb in the dash. This is a true,
"take the keys and drive" example with no additional budget needed
to attend to any nuances or gremlins. Being a well-maintained
example. It is tight to drive, brakes strong and rides as a
Rolls-Royce should. When describing a car for sale, one should be
very careful to use terms like "perfect" and "flawless" because
nothing but a brand new car can be described this way. That said,
this Silver Spur (IV) is close to, is of a very high standard and
is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating. She is 100% factory original
in specification in every respect.
