This 1977 Porsche 911 S Coupe, finished in a stunning shade
Paint-to-Sample black metallic, bridges the gap between the classic
long-hood models and the 911 SC in more ways than one. Desirably
ordered without a sunroof, it was well-equipped from new with air
conditioning, a Blaupunkt Bamberg radio, leather sports steering
wheel, Fuchs forged alloy wheels, sports seats, and sports shock
absorbers. To enhance its sporting credentials, the car is fitted
with 911 SC style rear fender flares, themselves the same
silhouette of the rear fenders first seen on the vaunted 1973
Carrera RS. Furthermore, the car features an ever-popular
"ducktail" rear spoiler-again first fitted to the Carrera RS-for
added downforce and eye-appeal.
Beginning in 2022, this 911 S Coupe received a comprehensive
refurbishment that includes a repaint in its original Paint to
Sample shade, the fitment of a new windshield, and a refurbishment
of its ever-desirable 7 and 8x15-inch Fuchs wheels. In addition to
this extensive work, the seats were reupholstered along with
upgrading to RS-style door panels and a Momo steering wheel.
Under current ownership since August 2024, mechanical work included
installing a new fuel sending unit, ignition coil, distributor,
warm-up regulator, fuel pump, and master cylinder, while the pedal
box and tachometer were overhauled, vacuum leaks fixed, along with
changing the engine and transmission oil. New carpet was installed
while the interior was upgraded with period-correct sports seats.
Today, the car is furnished with digital service records and its
Porsche Production Specifications sheet.
