Vehicle Description
-Primrose Yellow with Black leather interior, Black carpeting,
Black convertible top, Primrose Yellow Hard Top, Fully restored,
4.2 liter straight six-cylinder engine, 4-speed transmission,
Chrome wire wheels, Matching Numbers, Jaguar Heritage Trust
Certificate.
This Series 1 has been extensively restored and comes complete with
a detailed ownership and restoration history. The heritage
certificate confirms its matching numbers and original color
combination from new.
Prior to its most recent ownership and restoration, the E-type had
been in the same ownership for 44 years, from June 1976 to 2020,
its owner only selling due to age. Detailed records indicate his
purchase in June, 1976 at which time it had only covered 32k miles.
During his ownership it was used only in the summer months and
stored it in the winters. Always serviced regularly, in 1980/81 at
52k miles, the Jag was repainted, the engine was rebuilt and the
suspension and brakes were all serviced.
More recently and in its current ownership, this E-type was
completely dismantled and fully rebuilt-restored. The restoration
has been photo documented to show the extent of the work and care
taken.
This restoration was completed in 2019, no stone was left unturned.
Absolutely everything has been restored as per original, everything
works even the clock. The following upgrades have been completed to
make this E-type drive as well as it looks: Lumenition electronic
ignition (this retains the factory distributor). a high volume
cooling fan, Weyland air filters, Koni shocks as well as a full
stainless steel exhaust system. Furthermore in 2025 it has been
fitted with new coated exhaust manifolds and a period stereo with
modern internals with Bluetooth capabilities.
This is an exceptionally restored E-type Series 1 Roadster, in a
superb color combination and ready for immediate, road use or
concours showing.
