Sure, it looks great, but the real pleasure will be driving it!
With $25,000 in recent performance and mechanical upgrades your new
happy place will be behind the wheel. This is where classic style
meets open road freedom!
EXTERIOR: Prior to restoration it started as a clean Arizona car
with a solid body. This is an older paint job that still shows very
well with a glossy finish and no vinyl top for a nice clean
appearance. The Wimbledon White has a reflective c-stripe that is a
nice accent to the interior. When looking down the side of the body
you will see smooth contours and sharp lines. All the panels have
been painstakingly aligned with good, tight, and consistent gaps.
The doors shut very nice and easy. Overall, the chrome and trim are
in good condition. It has a GT pop up gas cap. The windshield was
replaced, and the remaining glass looks like good originals with
new seals and fuzzy strips when it was restored. It's rolling on a
set of 15x7 Vintage Wheel Works rims wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial
T/A tires.
INTERIOR: This is a very nice and well-appointed interior. The
upholstery both front and back looks to be in excellent shape and
the door panels look really good too. There is extra fancy wood
grain trim throughout and a deluxe center console with the garage
door and shift indicator. It also has an overhead console with map
lights. The headliner and visors and rearview mirror look like new.
The carpet has a fresh appearance and embroidered mats. It also has
a few upgrades including a walnut steering wheel and a vintage Sun
Super tachometer mounted to the column. The stereo was upgraded
with a modern digital unit that has extra kick panel speakers and
6x9's in the rear shelf.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: We have a performance built 289 sitting under
the hood thar was Dyno tuned at 320 horsepower. It's been bored
.060 over and has a high revving Edelbrock cam, Edelbrock aluminum
heads, Edelbrock intake, 600 CFM Edelbrock carb with electric
choke, and a complete MSD ignition system with 8 mm wires. It's all
dressed up nicely with ribbed aluminum valve covers and an open
element air cleaner. The front of the motor has power steering,
Edelbrock fuel pump, and a replaced alternator. The engine is
flanked by stainless steel headers that are ceramic coated. It runs
cool with an aluminum radiator, new fan, shroud, and overflow
bottle. Plus, it has an Edelbrock aluminum water pump and all new
hoses. The red top Optima gel battery is properly secured, and the
horns are hooked up. It also has power brakes and a remote oil
filter. The inner fenders are clean rust-free metal that are
painted black with a new cowl brace and Monte Carlo bar
reinforcements.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and jamb are
painted Wimbledon White. A reproduction jack sticker was added.
Inside is all solid metal that is also painted white, and it's
protected by a vinyl mat.
UNDERSIDE: All the mechanicals under this car have been rebuilt and
a lot of upgrades were made. It's lowered 1 inch and has a 1 inch
"Shelby drop" in front giving the wheels a different camber and
improved handling. It has a completely rebuilt steering and
suspension systems. Up front is also a big fat 1" sway bar with
polyurethane bushings and new springs. Out back it has new 1"
lowering leaf springs with polyurethane bushings. Upgraded Shelby
underrider traction bars, a ?" sway bar with polyurethane bushings,
new shackles, and KYB gas adjust shock greatly improve the ride
quality. It also has a stainless steel 2 " exhaust with X-Pipe and
Flowmaster Delta Flow mufflers. The brakes are new with disc in
front and heavy duty 11-in rear drums. It is upgraded with a
custom-built automatic overdrive transmission that has extra
clutches, hardened input and output shafts, 3000 stall B&M
programmable converter, programmable valve body, and an external
fluid cooler. It also has a new transmission mount. A custom Chro
Molly drive shaft leads back to the heavy duty Ford 9 inch rear end
with 4.56 gears. A Yukon Locker differential and Currie 31 spline
axles are much appreciated upgrades. The fuel tank and sending unit
are both new. The floors appear to be solid with a satin black
finish.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you
the best cars within reason.
What a great opportunity to saddle up and have some fun for not a
heck of a lot of money. This pony is a thoroughbred that was born
to run!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
