Previously owned by the Hedman Header family and featured on the
cover of Muscle Car Power magazine, this 1965 Ford Mustang fastback
underwent a complete nut-and-bolt restoration and custom build. It
is powered by a Ford Racing 347ci/450hp crate engine equipped with
8-stack electronic fuel injection managed by a Holley Terminator
system. Power is delivered through a Tremec TKO 5-speed manual
transmission paired with a McLeod racing clutch and protected by a
QuickTime scattershield and bellhousing. A custom 4-inch aluminum
driveshaft with a safety loop completes the driveline. The
suspension features a Global West adjustable tubular coilover
system, while steering is handled by a Flaming River rack & pinion
power unit. Structural integrity is enhanced with Chassisworks
subframe connectors and a TCI center brace. The vehicle is equipped
with Hedman headers, a 2.5-inch dual exhaust system and Flowmaster
mufflers. Cooling is provided by a Champion aluminum radiator. This
fastback rides on 17-inch 5-spoke wheels wrapped in double red line
tires. Inside, the leather interior features Dakota Digital RTX
gauges, air conditioning and a custom stereo system. Other
equipment includes a custom fuel tank, serpentine front drive
system, bullet-style side-view mirrors and billet hood hinges. **
