Vehicle Description
The 1986 De Tomaso Pantera GT5-S is a striking blend of Italian
design and American muscle. It is one of approximately 181 GT5-S
models built between 1985 and 1989, and one of approximately 38
U.S.-spec versions federalized and imported during that time. This
example retains its original serialized matching-numbers 351ci
Cleveland V8 engine paired with a ZF 5-speed manual transmission.
The GT5-S features a factory all-steel widebody with integrated
steel fender flares and a molded steel front spoiler, a departure
from the fiberglass components of the previous GT5. The exterior is
finished in Rosso (red) with white graphics, black split bumpers,
black moldings and quad exhaust tips exiting below the rear fascia.
The aggressive stance, sloping front and wide rear end are
complemented by the Super "V" wing, the same used on the
Lamborghini Countach. Riding on Campagnolo wheels wrapped in
Pirelli tires, this Pantera benefits from a tuned suspension setup,
enhancing handling and stability. Power-assisted disc brakes on all
four corners provide strong stopping power, while power windows and
a luxurious Nero (black) leather interior with wood veneer dash and
accents create a comfortable yet performance-focused cockpit. The
gated shifter, an iconic feature of the Pantera, adds to the
engaging driving experience. An Alpine tuner and tape deck provide
period-correct audio entertainment. 13,248 miles (mileage not
indicated on title). ** PREVIEW
